And it’s chutney time with my forest gardening friends

Hello everyone! It’s been quite a long time, outside it’s raining and we really feel time has come to get cosy indoors..and make chutney!

What better thing to do than coming to play in the kitchen with me and my friends at Edible Landscapes? We will also be making some wonderful aromatic chocolates, perfect for those cups of tea in the evening.

The workshop will be held on Sunday 8th October at the great Redmond Community Centre (a second home for me!) with a spacious excellent kitchen and a lovely seating area and garden. The whole class will last about two hours from 11am to 1pm. You are asked to arrive a little earlier to get ready and make yourselves know to the organisers. Also, although we will be providing jars, you are welcome to bring your own.

We will be using donated fruits and locally picked berries, herbs and spices and we will come up with some exciting flavours you probably never tried before. Edible Landscapes London is a forest gardening project in neighbouring Finsbury Park, where on a patch of land they grow edible perennials and educate the public about environmentally sound approaches to gardening.

It is donation only, but please let me know via the website or by emailing me directly at tastesofcarolina@gmail.com if you will be turning up.

See you all there!!
